Updated: Jan 16

from Thomas Jefferson University

Did you know that scientists are teaching computers how to diagnose diseases? Scientists at Thomas Jefferson University used a type of artificial intelligence called machine learning, in which a computer learned to tell the difference between suspicious (i.e. should be checked out further for cancer) and non-suspicious images of lumps on thyroids. Watch the video to learn more about this method, and read this article to learn more about the research study!
