by Enrico Lorenzetti
In this video, Enrico Lorenzetti explains potential new approaches in numerical simulation to reproduce embryogenesis in mammals. In particular, he focuses on coupling two scales of dynamics, mechanics and gene regulatory network, which can interplay with each other to determine the cells’ fate to form tissues.
The video is based on the following article: Simulating the mammalian blastocyst--molecular and mechanical interactions pattern the embryo.
Enrico is a student in the Cell Physics Master at the University of Strasbourg, France.
